What we served: chili, grilled cheese sandwiches, cookies and spinach salad!
McNabb & Risley’s Chili Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef, drained
1 cup sweet onion, finely chopped
1 pkg. McCormick original chili mix
1 cup celery, chopped
1 28 oz. can of crushed tomatoes
1 28 oz. tomato sauce
1 16oz. can of red chili beans in mild sauce, drained
1 16 oz. can of pinto beans, drained
1 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish:
Shredded chedder cheese
Sour Cream
Directions:
In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the ground beef, onion and salt and pepper to taste. Saute for 5 minutes or until beef is browned. Drain excess fat. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, seasoning mix, celery and cup of water. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally. Stir in beans and heat through. Garnish with shredded Chedder cheese and garnish with a tablespoon of sour cream. Serve with fresh bread and a fresh salad!

Our first snow day!
We had eight inches of snow last night, now it really looks like a Wisconsin Winter Wonderland! How you like to spend a snow day? Our staff shares:
I love to light a fire then catch up on DVR’d TV shows! There never seems to be enough time otherwise. – John
All the things that I don’t take time to do normally! I enjoy trying a new recipe, bundling up and walking the dog or just curling up and watching the beauty of the falling snow. – Linda
I love to stay home in my ‘jammies’ and organize closets and cupboards. I love for everything to be in ‘its place’. – Jessica
My son and I love to shovel while it’s snowing. It’s so much fun being surrounded by the falling snowflakes. We usually end up making snow angels or having a snowball fight! We always follow up with steaming mugs of hot cocoa! –Angela

New Year’s Resolutions anyone?
Our design staff shares:
My resolution is to become more organized! My “fly by the seat of my pants” lifestyle is completely rewarding, however, it sometimes results in multiple loose ends! – Angela
No resolutions here; that’s way too much pressure! Instead I create a ‘wish list’ of what I’d like to achieve in 2012 and plan lots of fun things to look forward to along with my goals. – Tara
I really want to focus on all the wonderfully positive things in my life. – Jessica
I only make resolutions I have a chance of keeping! Life is always a work in progress, so I don’t like to make a ‘bundle’ to-do list. – Linda
