Every year we have trick-or-treaters visiting local Thiensville businesses and I like to create a festive Halloween display to welcome the children and their parents. This year’s Halloween project was easy to achieve and wasn’t expensive to make. This simple project would be fun for you and your children to enjoy together.

You will need:
-Balsam wood Halloween cutouts, available at the local craft store
-Black string or jute
-Black and silver spray paint
-Most Important: A calm, non-windy day to spray paint outdoors

Step 1: Spray paint each side of the decoration, let dry thoroughly
Step 2: Drill small holes for string
Step 3: Thread string or jute through the hole and tie

I hung our Halloween decorations under the awning by the main entrance to our store. In your home, consider hanging in an indoor window frame or outdoors from a small tree. Add some pumpkins and mums by the front door and you will be ready for the little ghosts and goblins heading your way!
