Greek key patterns are classically designed decorative borders constructed from a continuous line and shaped into a repeated geometric motif. Greek key designs can be traced back to ancient Greece and the pattern is thought to symbolize infinity and unity. Greek key patterns have been found on decorative vases, pottery and used as architectural details on ancient temples. Today there is a resurgence of this popular design motif and I am spotting it be utilized on area rugs, designer textiles, decorative tapes and even etched into crystal hurricanes.
