Vintage decorating–Create instant holiday style with treasures from the past!

I asked some of my friends to share their delightful collections of vintage and antique Christmas displays with you this holiday season.  I hope this post inspires you to reimagine your parents' and grandparents' treasures in a fresh new way!  Enjoy!

This setting adds a festive holiday flourish utilizing colorful vintage ornaments and antique china.

I love everything about my friend's fabulous holiday display!  The vignette is placed on a narrow console in a passageway so when you walk by you can see all of this loveliness up close!  Featured is a collection of bottlebrush trees, a handcrafted needlepoint nativity scene, and framed jeweled Christmas trees from the 1960's.  My friend wanted to capture several decades of Christmas décor, and she started with vintage treasures she already owned.

This framed vintage jewelry Christmas tree featuring sparkly rhinestone earrings.  Imagine the fun the artist had collecting the vintage jewelry, and then the talent to create this one of a kind Christmas creation.

This fun vintage jewelry Christmas tree is framed and lighted for hanging on the wall.  These framed trees look amazing when clustered together!

This setting is a visual feast for your eyes.  I love antique Christmas tablescapes, and this is one of the best I have ever seen!  This is an incredibly rare and fabulous Christmas display, which represents antique Santas traveling around the world on different animals or sleighs.  An antique feather tree anchors the setting and is decorated with ornaments from the Victorian era.  This is truly a glimpse of Christmas past!

More antique holiday inspiration!  This rare antique Santa and sleigh reminds us of all the excitement and joy this season has brought to little ones throughout the ages!  The framed Santa postcard is from the turn of the century.
