Today, the holidays are officially over and it's kind of sad isn't it? The kids are back in school, the last house guests departed yesterday, and all my thank you notes have finally been mailed. I am now knee deep in cardboard boxes and tissue paper as I pack away the last of our Christmas decorations. Have you ever wondered why our homes look so bare and dismal after the holidays? After giving it some thought, I decided to repurpose some of my holiday décor. I created a winter design scheme using things I already own. I think it is a fun way to transition from the holidays to winter and I hope you enjoy the results. Please do try this at home!
I created a winter garden on a deep window sill, and the scent of paperwhites lifts everyones' spirits!
A snowman tablescape on the buffet is cheerful and happy, while small faux votives twinkle at night.
Remove your Christmas wreath and replace with a small decorative sleigh.
