Are you decorating a small space? Follow this month’s blog to learn more…

I love small homes, and this month's blog is dedicated to designing small spaces.  Underscale rooms are always a design challenge.  The key to a successful interior that functions well has everything to do with space planning.  I always say proportion is the pathway to design success, and this is especially true when decorating a tiny room.  Instead of focusing on what you cannot do with your space, think about what are the room's most important functions and proceed from that perspective.  If the interior is a play room for young children, choose a small sofa with a durable performance fabric and furniture with storage options.  If you are planning a workspace, select a small scale desk and a stylish chest that doubles as a file cabinet.  Need more room for frequent overnight guests?  Try a comfortable full size sleeper sofa with a luxurious memory foam mattress.  Use small night stands as end tables and add a bookcase to add a library effect.  Design possibilities are endless and McNabb & Risley's talented design staff are here to assist you every step of the way!
