Dream design project – Upstairs Bath.

This gorgeous bath was completely remodeled before my client bought the home, however we tweaked it extensively to make it more functional.  The first thing I recommended was to turn the claw foot tub around, the previous owner installed the tub facing the wall and we decided it would be ever so much nicer to have it face the rest of the bathroom and a small window.

We also tore out the existing tiled countertop and replaced it with honed marble.  There was an extension in the wall that used to house a chimney which was removed, so we now had a large expanse of stone countertop and a more open look to the space.  A pair of new mirrors and lighting was installed, and the only other things we did were to paint the cabinets, the walls, and add new hardware.  I suddenly realized we did do a lot to this bathroom, but it wasn't a complete gutting like the rest of the house.  Oh and then we retiled the backsplash and the end result was lovely!
