I asked the McNabb & Risley designers to share their latest design projects with you and here is a sneak peek of their works in progress featuring their exceptional styles. Prepare to be inspired!
My client was looking for a very neutral monochromatic interior that was inviting and comfortable. She specified that she was interested in color palettes of gray, taupe, ivory and sand because she wanted to add color in toss pillows, art, and accessories. I mentioned to her that I felt we should focus on fabrics with a lot of textural interest and I also found this beautiful flat woven tribal area rug that became the focal point of this design project. I selected a woven light taupe fabric for the sofa and added charcoal gray contrast welts, and velvet burnt sienna down filled pillows. The large windowpane fabric is for a lounge chair and the leather is for a pair of complementary chairs. We are also making custom window treatments for this family room that are classic and timeless. I chose a textured neutral for the base fabric and an embroidered tape treatment for the lead edge of the panels. The finished result is exactly what my client and I were going for, rustic and relaxed!
