We all have so much to be grateful for and we are especially thankful for you, our customers!
We will be closed on November 23rd, have a Happy Thanksgiving!
This is the time of year when we joyfully open our home to family and friends to celebrate all the blessings of the season. We understand you want your home to look its best, and this week's theme has been fun, fast, and fabulous holiday décor. I have been focusing on time saving decorating tips that are chic, stylish, and easy to create! Today's inspiration is perfect for an entryway chest or a large cocktail table. I always recommend placing holiday vignettes in prominent areas of your home because first impressions set the pace and the theme for the rest of your Christmas décor.
It amazes me how a few carefully selected accessories can have such a huge design impact! This holiday vignette was created with a bronze metal sculpture, mercury glass candles, and silver tipped pinecones. The beauty of this setting lies in the rustic simplicity of the design. Our holiday display could easily transition into January, just add some faux snow!
We continue our seasonal design inspiration today with a show-stopping blue and silver themed holiday vignette. The focus all week has been on fun, fast, and fabulous Christmas décor and our featured display is opulent! Vintage inspired mercury glass bottles, cobalt glass baubles, and snow tipped evergreens are artfully arranged on a large mirrored tray. Pinecones were foraged from the backyard and they add a fresh natural touch! Once again this was a ten minute setup from start to finish and I will personally guarantee the oohs and aahs!

Dress up the dining room table with natural adornments! I styled this table for the holidays using non-Christmassy accents, (I'm not sure if that is a word)! The result is unexpected, very sophisticated, and a little over the top! The inspiration for the setting began with the luxe Mongolian lamb hide and a rustic wood centerpiece with white candles. Next, I layered in large metallic pinecones and shimmering silver antlers to create a vintage ski lodge effect. Is it practical? No... that's not what I was going for, but you have to admit it is gorgeous! Happy decorating everyone!

As an interior designer, I love to present several design concepts to my clients, but it is always a mystery as to which way they will proceed. The contemporary option offers an exuberant modern painting, a mix of classic and contemporary fabrics, and a bold color palette with vivid orange accents. Our second option is more classical in nature focusing on a beautiful linen tea stained floral, a neutral textile for the sofa, velvet quilted accent pillows, and various small geometrics for accent chairs. Both design presentation are stunning, I will keep you posted on which one they choose! -Tara
Today is Thiensville's Business Trick or Treat from 4pm to 7pm and we are decorating the front of the store with these stunning hand painted pumpkins! Since we have had an unseasonably warm Fall, the pink geraniums are still blooming and I wanted to enhance them with artistically painted pumpkins in bright turquoise and white with golden stems. This is a simple DIY project that you can complete in 45 minutes!
Step 1: Wash the pumpkins, dry, then paint the stems with gold craft paint.
Step 2: Select a colorful contrasting paint for the top of the pumpkin (I selected white and turquoise) and brush the paint on in uneven strokes covering the top half of the pumpkin. The streakier the paint, the better!
Step 3: Let dry overnight and place in a covered area. Enjoy!
"When my client told me that he and his staff were tired of looking at white walls, I got excited to offer my expertise. I believe that art helps bring definition to a space. Adding in color and abstract geometric structures, gave this commercial office space a soft buoyant environment that would please any audience!" -Krystle
Congratulations Krystle on your beautiful art installation, the transformation looks amazing! -Tara

Heavily accessorized trays are one of the hottest trends in home design for Fall. I like the fact that trays are functional and can be beautiful as well. The featured tray showcases a silk screened branch on a wooden surface. I have layered the tray with a Halloween theme by adding ceramic pumpkins, a Fall floral, and antiqued silver candlesticks. Place this arrangement in the center of your table or on a large kitchen counter for instant Fall decorating. Find it now at McNabb & Risley!
