Colorful paint projects featuring clients’ actual homes!

This month I am highlighting the top color trend for 2018, the color blue.  Take the guess work out of any design project with these stunning paint colors I have used in my clients' homes.

I love the classical design color combination in this traditional master bedroom.  The wall color was inspired by the deep blue velvet accent pillows and I chose Benjamin Moore HC154 Hale Navy for the walls.

My client wanted a rich deep blue for their kitchen walls to complement their warm russet cabinetry.  Their home has an open floor plan with a watercolor palette and gray neutrals.  The blue we focused on was featured predominantly in their oriental rug and a stunning abstract art painting.  We selected SW7607 Santorini Blue from Sherwin Williams for their walls and backsplash.  The design world has been swooning over this color for several years and I think it was the perfect pick for my clients' space!

I consulted on this gorgeous powder room in a historical Tudor home in Mequon and the color inspiration was drawn from a antique oriental rug in the next room.  My client loves depth of color and was excited to see how this paint transformed her powder room into a showplace.  We finally decided on a Sherwin William paint, SW6516 Downpour, and I am so pleased with the finished result!

It has been said that the ceiling is the fifth wall in any interior, and I love to call out a tray ceiling with a soft pastel color.  The inspiration for this color palette came from the upholstery in an accent chair in my clients' sunroom.  We selected SW6218 Tradewind, a soft pale blue that defines the tray ceiling and highlights the fan.
